Our Access and equity strategy provides a framework to ensure our programs meet the needs of all our customers. It also covers employment equity for staff. The integration of staff and customer access and equity is desirable because many projects have overlapping benefits such as facilitating disability access. As well, increased diversity in the workforce assists us in providing better customer service.
People with a disability, women and multicultural affairs are a particular focus of our access and equity strategy.
NSW Fair Trading has an Aboriginal Action Plan designed to make our services more accessible to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities accross NSW.
