Aged care supported accommodation service

The Aged Care Supported Accommodation Service is funded under the Rental Bond Board Grants Program for a 3-year period. The Service provides advocacy, information and education services for residents in supported accommodation, such as retirement villages, nursing homes, hostels and boarding houses across New South Wales.

Key dates

Next call for applications will be February 2011.

Funding is provided for a 3-year period from 1 July 2008 – 30 June 2011.

Who can apply?

Incorporated not-for-profit organisations may apply for the operation of the Aged Care Supported Accommodation Service to assist residents in supported accommodation across New South Wales.

Who can't apply?

The following cannot apply:

  • organisations based outside of New South Wales
  • organisations not incorporated
  • for-profit organisations 
  • landlord organisations.

What will be funded?

The Rental Bond Board Grants Program aims to provide funding for to organisations that provide advice and information, casework and community education to assist tenants, landlords and older people in supported accommodation in NSW.

Current priorities

As part of Fair Trading’s consumer protection and social justice policies, funding is provided to non profit organisations to provide information, community education, advice and advocacy services for New South Wales residents in supported accommodation such as retirement villages, nursing homes, hostels and boarding houses.
