Rental Bond Board grants program
The Rental Bond Board Grants Program provides grants or loans to organisations providing residential rental accommodation, or conducting research into the relationship of landlords and tenants.
Funding is also provided for the establishment and administration of rental advisory services.
In addition, funding is available to aged-care rights services to provide advice and information to older people in supported accommodation in NSW (eg. in nursing homes, hostels and retirement villages).
Key dates
Funding is provided for periods of up to three years, depending on the project, however applications for grants or loans may be made at any time.
Who can apply?
Applications can be made by:

incorporated or registered organisations
-
NSW government departments and agencies
-
registered trade unions
-
universities, TAFE and other academic institutions
-
local government
-
individuals with appropriate skills, experience and knowledge who are sponsored by an eligible body.
What will be funded?
Funding is provided to organisations that provide advice and information, casework and community education to assist landlords, tenants and older people in supported accommodation in NSW.
How much funding is available?
$800,000 per annum is currently available under this program.

The Office of Fair Trading is committed to consumer protection and social justice and strives to ensure that the community has access to information and consumer help. This includes, in part, funding organisations that provide services to low income and disadvantaged clients in NSW.
