Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Regulation 2009

In accordance with requirements in the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989, the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Regulation 2002 was automatically repealed as of 1 September 2009.  A new regulation, the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal Regulation 2009 has been made to replace the repealed regulation.  This new regulation commenced on 1 September 2009.

The aim of the Regulation is to provide a framework to support the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Consumer, Trader and Tenancy Tribunal.  The Regulation concerns matters of an administrative and/or procedural nature.  There are no significant changes to the regulatory framework.  The prescribed fees, which are subject to an annual review, are now located in a schedule to the Regulation.

Consequently, a number of clauses have been reordered and renumbered.  This means that, although the essential terms of the Regulation are virtually unchanged, some parts of the Regulation will appear different.
