Landlord and Tenant Regulation 2009

In accordance with requirements in the Subordinate Legislation Act 1989, the Landlord and Tenant Regulation 2004 was automatically repealed as of 1 September 2009. A new regulation, the Landlord and Tenant Regulation 2009 has been made to replace the repealed regulation. This new regulation commenced on 1 September 2009.

The Regulation concerns matters of an administrative or procedural nature, and contains some minor amendments to the 2002 Regulation. The fee schedule has been adjusted to take into consideration CPI increases and a number of statutory forms for protected tenants to make declarations relating to their tenancy have been removed, so that the declaration can now be made in any form.
