Fair Trading Week

14-18 November 2011

In November each year, NSW Fair Trading runs a week-long celebration to raise awareness about consumer issues in the community. During Fair Trading Week, we host events all across the State to bring our message directly to the people of NSW. You will find our staff out in the community talking to consumers and visiting traders, making sure that everyone gets the chance to hear about their rights in the marketplace.

Fair Market, Fair Play, Fair Go!

The theme for Fair Trading Week 2011 is “Fair Market, Fair Play, Fair Go.”

This year’s theme focuses on our pledge to achieve fairness for everyone in the marketplace, serving the community and businesses of NSW with a wide range of services.

Fair Trading creates a fair, safe and equitable marketplace by working quietly in the background to ensure the people of NSW have the best consumer experience possible. We make a difference by safeguarding consumer rights, regulating specific industries and occupations, and advising businesses on fair and ethical trading practices.
