Fair Trading grants programs now open

7 April 2010

Applications are now open for the NSW Government’s home building, motor vehicle and property services grants programs.

Fair Trading Minister Virginia Judge said universities, TAFE colleges and other registered non-government and industry organisations are eligible to apply for the grants.

“The NSW Government has delivered more than $17 million in grants for consumer and industry education, financial assistance and other areas this financial year,” Ms Judge said.

“The grants programs provide funding for education, research and other projects to help improve industry standards and provide better consumer protection.

“The home building, motor vehicle and property services industries are a vital part of our economy and the Keneally Government is committed to helping these sectors grow and prosper.”

The grants programs include:

  • $300,000 for the home building sector
  • $100,000 for the motor vehicle industry and
  • $300,000 for property services.

“Grants will be awarded to initiatives that have clearly defined aims, are cost effective and are carried out by recognised, financially viable organisations,” Ms Judge said.

Grant applications close on 14 May 2010.

To receive an application package phone Fair Trading on 9619 8731 or 9619 8710 or email grants@services.nsw.gov.au or can be downloaded from this website.
