Fair Trading to visit Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo
1 April 2011
Fair Trading Deputy Commissioner Steve Griffin is urging consumers and business owners in Condobolin and Lake Cargelligo to learn more about their rights and responsibilities during next week’s visit by Fair Trading staff to the two towns.
Mr Griffin said staff would be carrying out compliance activities, business inspections and promoting consumer services from Monday 4 to Thursday 7 April.
“These programs are run regularly around the State and bring Fair Trading staff and services into the community,” he said.
“Fair Trading inspectors will be carrying out a range of activities, including checking licensing and business name compliance at motor dealers and motor vehicle repairers.
“Compliance checks benefit local consumers, lead to better business practices and promote a strong working relationship between Fair Trading and traders.”
Local businesses and tradespeople will also benefit from free information sessions that focus on their areas of operation including real estate, home building and motor vehicle repairs.
