Minister to visit Gosford, The Entrance, Tuggerah and Toukley

NSW Fair Trading Minister Anthony Roberts will visit Gosford, The Entrance, Tuggerah and Toukley on Wednesday, 11 July 2012. The Minister will be joined by Chris Holstein, the Member for Gosford, Chris Spence, the Member for The Entrance and Darren Webber, the Member for Wyong.

The Minister will visit staff at the Gosford Fair Trading Centre, as well as Two Shores Holiday Village. He will also observe Fair Trading motor vehicle repairer compliance checks and present funding to three local No Interest Loans Scheme (NILS®) service providers.

9.15-10am The Minister will visit the Gosford Fair Trading Centre, Level 2, The Gateway Centre, 237 Mann Street, Gosford. Chris Holstein will accompany the Minister.
10.15-10.45am The Minister will present a $31,566 cheque for NILS® funding to Coast Shelter, Donnison Street Community Centre, Donnison Street, Gosford. Chris Holstein will accompany the Minister.
11-11.30am The Minister will present a $37,879 cheque for NILS® funding to Gosford City NILS®, Narara Community Centre, 2 Pandala Road, Narara. Chris Spence will accompany the Minister.
12-12.30pm The Minister will visit Two Shores Holiday Village, Wilfred Barrett Drive, The Entrance North. Chris Spence will accompany the Minister.
2.30-3pm The Minister will observe a Fair Trading inspector conduct compliance checks at Topline Automotive Services, Unit 1, 9-11 Johnson Street, Tuggerah. Darren Webber will accompany the Minister.
3.30-4pm The Minister will present a $37,879 cheque for NILS® funding to Wyong Shire NILS®, Heador Street, Toukley. Darren Webber will accompany the Minister.

Mr Roberts said he enjoyed visiting regional areas and meeting the consumers, traders and community workers who looked to Fair Trading for information and assistance.

“NSW Fair Trading is relied upon to safeguard consumer rights, work with industry to ensure businesses operate fairly and provide funding assistance to grassroots community services,” he said.
