National Consumer Congress
The National Consumer Congress is the premiere annual event on the consumer protection calendar in Australia. The Congress brings together the key stakeholders in the Australian consumer protection framework, including Federal and State Government officials, consumer advocacy groups and business representatives, as well as interested members of the public.
2009 National Consumer Congress
The 2009 National Consumer Congress will be held in Adelaide on 12 and 13 March 2009. The theme of the 2009 Congress is 'A fair marketplace?'.
The Ruby Hutchinson Memorial Lecture and a welcoming cocktail party at Parliament House on 11 March will precede the commencement of the Congress. The conference dinner will be held in the National Wine Centre on the evening of 12 March.
The 2009 Congress will feature keynote speakers from Australia and overseas. The Congress will focus on areas such as national consumer policy, credit, sustainable consumerism and behavioural economics.
