Each year, around 50 children fall from windows or balconies. Many suffer serious injuries. Sometimes these falls are fatal.
The Think child safe campaign is focussing attention on the risks associated with children playing close to open windows or unattended on balconies.
A Think child safe brochure and poster listing the key safety messages for parents and carers has been developed by NSW Health and free supplies can be ordered from the Fair Trading website or by calling 13 32 20.
