Fair Trading Act, Section 31 (1) Order
The law prohibits the supply of products that imitate or resemble a baby’s dummy in appearance and size, unless they comply with the requirements of the Australian Standard AS2342-1991 – Babies’ Dummies.

Baby bath supports

A Prohibition Order under Section 31 (1) of the Fair Trading Act 1987 restricts the supply of goods designed to support babies while they are being bathed, unless the goods contain a permanently affixed label in the manner prescribed by the Order.

Baby walkers

The Fair Trading Regulation 2007.
This Regulation restricts the supply of baby walkers, being a device that consists of a frame on wheels, designed to support a child who has not learned to walk, and is propelled by the movement of the child. The baby walker must pass tests for stability, tipping resistance, occupant leaning over the edge and prevention of falls down steps, in addition to a permanently affixed prescribed warning.
