Members of the MFAA include mortgage managers, mortgage brokers, mortgage marketers, banks, credit unions, building societies, legal firms, mortgage insurers, trustees, fund managers, valuers, and real estate related industries. All members are bound by the MFAA Code of Practice to ensure the highest levels of service, integrity and professionalism. The Mortgagee Industry Ombudsman Scheme (MIOS) may also be able to assist you with problems you may experience with members of MFAA.

Mortgage assistance
The Mortgage Assistance Scheme (Department of Housing NSW) can provide short term assistance to people experiencing temporary difficulties with their home loan repayments as a result of an unavoidable change in their circumstances.
Mortgage Assistance is not a grant, but a loan to be repaid at a future time. The Home Purchase Assistance Division administers this Scheme which offers mortgage repayment assistance by way of an interest free loan paid directly to the home lender.
