Minor maintenance / cleaning 

For licensing purposes, the class of minor maintenance/cleaning refers to the non-structural maintenance (including minor repairs) or cleaning of existing works/structures/buildings.

Qualifications
Previous licence holders

Qualifications 

Pressure washing / graffiti removal / brick cleaning work 

1. Completion of CPC10111 Certificate I in Construction, including:

  • CPCCCM2004A Handle Construction Materials
  • CPCCCM1011A Undertake basic estimation and costing

Plus

  • CPCCPD3029A Remove graffiti and apply protective coatings

OR

2. Completion of CPC10108 Certificate I in General Construction, including:

  • CPCCCM2004A Handle Construction Materials
  • CPCCCM1001A Undertake basic estimation and costing

Plus

  • CPCCPD3009A Remove graffiti and apply protective coatings

OR

3. Completion of BCG10103 Certificate I in General Construction, including:

  • BCGVE1001B Handle construction materials
  • BCGVE1002B Undertake a basic construction project
  • BCGVE1004B Undertake basic estimation and costing.

Plus

  • BCGPD3009B Remove graffiti and apply protective coatings

OR

4. Completion of BCG10198 Certificate I in Construction TAFE course #1206.

Repair, resurfacing or application of a protective coating to bathroom tiles, baths, etc 

1. Completion of CPC10111 Certificate I in Construction, including:

  • CPCCCM2004A Handle construction materials
  • CPCCCM1011A Undertake basic estimation and costing.

Plus

  • CPCCPD3030A Apply protective paint coating systems

or

  • CPCCWF3004A Repair wall and floor tiles

OR

2. Completion of Certificate III MSA 30309 in Surface Preparation and Coating Application

OR

3. Completion of CPC10108 Certificate I in General Construction, including:

  • CPCCCM2004A Handle construction materials
  • CPCCCM1001A Undertake basic estimation and costing.

Plus

  • CPCCPD3010A Apply protective paint coating systems

or

  • CPCCWF3004A Repair wall and floor tiles

OR

4. Completion of BCG10103 Certificate I in General Construction, including:

  • BCGVE1001B Handle construction materials
  • BCGVE1002B Undertake a basic construction project
  • BCGVE1004B Undertake basic estimation and costing.

Plus

  • BCGPD3010B Apply protective paint coating systems,

or

  • BCGWF3004B Repair wall and floor tiles

OR

5. Completion of BCG10198 Certificate I in Construction TAFE course #1206.

OR

3. Completion of BCG10103 Certificate I in General Construction, including:

  • BCGVE1001B Handle construction materials
  • BCGVE1002B Undertake a basic construction project
  • BCGVE1004B Undertake basic estimation and costing.

Plus

  • BCGCA2001B Handle carpentry materials
  • BCGCA2002B Use carpentry tools and equipment
  • BCGPD2003B Remove and replace doors and door and window furniture.

OR

4. Completion of BCG10198 Certificate I in Construction TAFE course #1206.

If you have ever held a licence in the above prescribed classes and you apply for a new licence, your previous licence will be accepted in lieu of the current qualifications requirements.
